What do I stand on, step ladder won't fit?

That said now I think about it, an ordinary step ladder can be placed diagonally, kind of straddling the toilet, that's normally allowed me to get close enough to the wall etc. I am considerably more than 68kg unfortunately. :( :p

What do I stand on, step ladder won't fit?

I too would not stand on a toilet, something like this that fits would do. Or you could knock one up out of some spare timber. Google 'hop up work platform'.

PD - Acceptable gap between two rear extensions

I'm not sure it sets any precedent, AFAIK there are various appeals which have gone either way. So like it seems to depend on which side of the bed the planners get out of it also depends which side of the bed the planning inspector gets out.

3m double storey rear extension new roof required?

Probably a new roof from the middle back, leaving all of the existing rafters in place, so a pitched roof all round as you have now but with a flat roof in the middle.

Am I able to remove a section of wall in upstairs bedroom?

Is this an external wall? What koolpc is getting at is are there any ceiling joists bearing onto it, which way do the ceiling joists run? Perhaps take some pics of the top of the wall in the loft for us and take a pic or two from further away so we can see things in context.

Of course, you win some you lose some.

Will I be allowed to build rear extension like this?

You need to check what the guidance was that was in place when that application was approved. In anycase precedent doesn't really exist nowadays in planning (especially for domestic extensions) just because something was approved previously does not mean the council are bound to approve the same...

So once you've bought your £1500 EV you have to spend another couple of grand or whatever on a replacement battery?

Will I be allowed to build rear extension like this?

For Prior Approval yes provided they don't object. For planning Permission yes provided the Local Plan guidance hasn't changed to the detriment in the meantime.

Will I be allowed to build rear extension like this?

So ignore my last comment about joining the garage, if you read it, going by your drawing you're obviously keeping a gap between the extension and the garage. Presumably your new extension is joining an existing one? If you can live with 6m deep overall (and the heights are limited as per the...

A garage side door that doesn't swell

I have a Latham steel door on my garage, it's absolutely excellent but sounds like it'd be over your budget.
