I'm trying to lift cistern away from wall but angle valve supply in the way. I'm assuming I can't rotate the angle valve arm and the only answer is unscrewing the nut to the right of the angle valve. Any thoughts/advice appreciated.
Replacing a cistern and the wingnut is in a tight space. Tried WD40, mole grips but wingnut won't bugde, just spins when I turn the screw in the cisterne. Any suggestions on how to remove anyone? (see pictures)
8 months ago I had some plaster water damage from leaking window seal (see picture below). Leak has been fixed and I let plaster dry out over the summer.
Not sure the best way to paint the plaster. Do I apply sealer or I do I mist like new plaster before applying another coat? Any help...
I'm replacing a fill valve and noticed a small constant drip after removing old fill valve - see picture ( plugged with green tissue). It's been dripping for a few days. I'm trying to figure out if this constant drip is something to worry about or it goes away when I fit new fill valve as valve...
Need some help figuring out if I can isolate the cold supply using the angle valve in picture below - I don't have stopcock in house so alternative would be to to switch off from the road
Can someone tell me the type/brand of fill and flush valves I need for the cistern in picture. I also need a close coupling kit - not sure where to get it from.
A closer look shows the leak not in the pan connector. When I flush using bucket no leak but when I use flush mechanism get leak.
Leak coming from back of cistern that sits on toilet (see picture). Seems to be directly below flushing mechanism in Cistern.
Maybe corrosion of some kind 22yrs...
I have a leak from a toilet waste pipe when I flush. See attached picture.
Looks like leak in the middle of bellows.
Can I get away with taping up or do I need to replace? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Kitchen mixer tap is stiff suddenly. It is 16 yrs old. Not sure how easy it is to fix or whether I should just buy a new tap. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks
I've just cleaned the spirotec filter. System pressure is 0.1bar. Question I have is can I top up my radiator with an inhibitor without draining radiator as pressure seems so low already.
Thanks. I'll take a more careful look outside at the sill - couldn't find anything first time round but given volume of rain recently maybe I've missed a small hole/crack.
If window sill check fails to find anything, will get my hands on a camera.
