    follow the hep2o testing instructions, dont leave the test on for long peroids at high pressures. use water test pump. air testing can be dangerous and should only be done by a competent person with good PLI.

    common misunderstanding is that a trv controls the radiators temp not the rooms. a remote head trv will move the sensor away from the radiator.

    not really such a thing as a bypass radiator, yes the one in the index room with the room stat should not have a trv but an auto bypass should be fitted if needed by the boiler manufacturer or systems design.

    check the boilers instructions, most can be screwed to timber now but maybe a layer or two of sound proof plasterboard would help the sound issue. if you can fix studs floor and ceiling then that may help.
