its done alot, not best practice but sometimes its the best solution. 2" if possible.
why is it not practical? can't remember the last time I had a bath whilst washing my face in the basin.

Fallout, I find that if at all in doubt, always better to over engineer. A bath empties a lot of water and can cause an extended vacuum in any other smaller pipework attached to it. Therefore I'd always do it in 50mm (2") all the way to the stack with an anti vac/HEPVo on the basin.
Also reduces the risk of future issues (with correct fall on the pipework).
I would worry more about pipe lengths rather than combined connections.
as I said it depends on the length of the runs including bends etc.
1.5 can be fine, usually though I would try to use 2" just for longevity.
I wouldn't worry about it unless you are a very very hairy family.
Or any family members that have long hair and use lots of soap/hair products
