    Rounded a screw head

I posted on hear about a year ago, regarding removing a stubborn indice cap from a tap and unfortunately nothing suggested worked (was probably more to do with me than the advice!!). Sitting on the throne yesterday (apologies for that image) I had a eureka moment when i realised that the...

    Boiler trouble

Good morning So i've just tried to take a shower and the boiler won't come on. Was fine yesterday but nothing today (no HW or CH). The pressure is about .75 bar, slightly in the red, but has always read that (could that be the prob?). It's a Chaffoteaux & Maury MX2 24 - 30ff. According to...

How to get to tap washers?

How to get to tap washers?

So RE the tap in the 3rd pic - just turn the nut, that you can see, and that will allow me to pull out the tap assembly? Still not sure about the first tap. I've unscrewed the cover, but it won't come up far enough (even with the tap fully open) to allow access to the nut to take out the...

How to get to tap washers?

Shouldn't there be a screw underneath the cap which connects the tap handle to internal part of the tap? Just wondering how to access that screw.

How to get to tap washers?

Hello Before I break something...Does anyone know how to get at the washers on these taps? [img] The 1st is a Bristan Colonial. I assume i'd have to pop off the white cap (with a Stanley knife??) and then take off the cover at the base with a cloth covered Stilson - am I close...
