Guys many thanks for the responses, good discussion as to how to resolve the seized pin. However, the question is do I have to fix the pin? Does it being seized have a negative effect on the operation of the brakes?

I thought of using a socket but the head is rectangular so I didn’t think a socket would fit snugly. Great idea, thanks.

Hi guys I’ve just picked up 4 steelies from the scrappy and dropped them off for shot blasting. I’m then going to hand paint them. I’ve been advised to wash them down with cheap thinners prior to priming and painting. Question is can I use any wood/metal primer or does it need a special primer?

Final update, it was of course threaded and it was my stupidity trying to undo it thinking that the red collar was part of the elbow when it is of course part of the hose. Many thanks for the helpful advice guys and apologies for being dumb.

Many thanks for the response. I only sealed the joints a few days ago. We had more heavy rain last night and the stain on the floor appears larger. However, I guess this could be coincidental and it is the moisture that had gathered at the bottom of the joint seeping through. I’ll leave it for...
