Plugging floor board edge gaps under skirting...

thanks ree, I decided in another one of my flooring threads not to go down the route of more research and surveys as we put it down to a mixture of movement, bad workmanship and a purposeful gap (which got bigger!). My new thread here was because I started talking about the remedy eg...

Plugging floor board edge gaps under skirting...

Hi, thanks the reply, I am on the top floor (3rd) of 30 flats. The flats are about 12 years old. Looks like floor has moved away from the skirting, in some places the gap is a 3-4 mm and other bits the gap is three quarters of an inch. If I used sealant though (as I am weighing my...

Double glazing warranty exclusions and a draft

Hi, Yes under the bottom window cill. The house is from around 1969 and I don't think my parents have ever put any extra insulation in the walls. I will come back with a picture for you. Would it be also correct that part of the window is not covered by a warranty? The guy said...

Double glazing warranty exclusions and a draft

Hi, My mum had a double glazing man around to show him the cold air coming through the bottom under the bottom ridge, not quite sure of the terminology (where it meets the brick). He did not accept there was a draft and told my mum it was the curtains. I have told my mum to get him back...
