    Leaking basin waste

I don't think a thicker rubber washer would have taken up the difference, I reckon about 10mm was required, although I never tried that so no way of knowing. Bad design of waste I think as the part which takes the rod for the pop-up should have been a) higher, or b) a longer thread would have...

    Leaking basin waste

Thanks very much gasop, after several phonecalls to friends (and friends of friends) that very same thing was advised. For anyone else who will probably encounter this if using it the tap in question is 'Cascade' by Cooke & Lewis from B&Q. :D

    Leaking basin waste

Just fitted a new basin and all was well until the OH has noticed a leak. After dismantling (there is no room to work behind the pedestal ggrr) I have found the leak to be from the waste (pop-up type) - see pic - the thread on the waste seems a bit short as the compression coupler hits the...

Hi folks, I'm currently re-tiling and installing a toilet and sink in 2nd toilet, problem I have is that the main stopcock is situated in there. No probs there, other than the other half wants all visible pipework to be in chrome  My setup just now is all in brass 15mm, blue mdpe...

    Kitchen under cabinet lighting

Can any kind gents/ladies point me in the direction of decent and well priced lighting for under kitchen units ? Was thinking along the lines of linking fluorescents, and was unsure whether a complete spread of these would be required, i.e. each wall unit having same sized ftg under, or would...

    Dulux paint pod..a review!

Same as the previous poster I have used this and would like to put forward my opinion of the PaintPod Compact. Picked one up last year when B&Q were giving them away with the purchase of any Dulux product, I opted for the 5ltr White paintPod paint which at the time was only £24.99. Moving...
