Have you checked the wires from the stat to the matts? They could be shorting. Could disconnect the matts and do some tests.

That is what she said actually, usually just after showering. I was planning on doing a visual check on all the connections and replacing the MCB with a 40. But is that an unnecessary cost? Also is that notifiable?
