No, it's on a party wall

Hi, we are currently refurbishing a 1930s bungalow we bought and was thinking of boarding up the fireplace and moving a radiator in front of it. Presumably we need to have a vent for the boarded up fireplace - is it okay to have the radiator directly in front of the vent? TIA!

Thanks, it doesn't have one. Does it go on the MEV exhaust duct before the cooker hood exhaust joins? And is a flap sufficient or do I need a electric damper?

Here's the floorpan without the proposed hood and here's what I'm proposing. Hope those images make sense. Note the ducting number of turns/lengths/etc are quite from memory so they're not accurate.

Why do I need it on both fans? wouldn't it be enough just on the hood?

Yeh, its pretty air tight. wouldn't the valve/damper mitigate the problem of having an extracting hood?

It was British Gas and they gave me a Safety Warning with the "At Risk" section filled in.

just heard back from the builders and they say that because the legislation wasn't in place when they built it its our responsibility. was the legisilation in place when I bought the property (we completed on 16/04/2010)?

Also, are they required to fit carbon monoxide alarms or is that my responsibility?
