    And another one..

Typical cockney name. I would throw them in jail for good with the most violent prisoners. Let's see how long they last.

    Multiple Joints

That's heartbreaking! Unfortunately it happens, especially with some hardwood like iroko. If the table is staying in that room, I would find a piece of same wood (hopefully you kept the leftovers), choose a similar grain direction and cut a wedge. Then you're skilled to shape that crack, glue it...

how much do you think this building would cost to put right?

It all depends what sort of shythole people like to drink in down there. A new cheap carpet without underlay would serve well some people. Some other kind of clientele would demand better bar, toilets, floors, tables, etc, etc... So anything between £5k and £200k is the answer. BTW, the rental...

I broke the main fuse seal

When I had a new consumer unit fitted, my electrician broke the seal on the main fuse and pulled it out. When he finished he called the supplier and told them. They sent someone around to replace the seal. They didn't ask any questions to the electrician or myself.

Victorian plumbing will refer you to the manufacturer. Write to them directly. My grohe taps have 5 years warranty.

    Boxing in boiler pipes

Should've gone up to the cabinet and left a few mm gap to easily remove it if needed. I've always used magnets to hold the box in place.

High pitched sound that rises and falls for hours on end.

Someone practicing a single note on a flute next door?

Basin mixer tap handle hard to operate

Check if it's still under warranty. One of my grohe taps developed the same problem and they changed the cartridge free of charge.

    Happy Easter everyone

You've never been to a church. Cathedrals have lots of space around seats so a 2000 seat could easily get benches for another 1000. Small churches utilise all space available and, as said a small 10x30m church can accommodate 800 comfortable seats. Lots of churches broadcast on YouTube nowadays...

    Happy Easter everyone

WTF are you on about??? 800 seats is a small church. It's 40 rows of double benches. Total footprint of about 10m x 30m + some space on sides and back. Have you ever been to a church?

    Happy Easter everyone

Been to church today, it was packed and many people were following from the outside screen. As a rough count, 8 people per bench, there must've been 800 inside sitting, another 200 standing and 200/300 outside. Nobody apart from me counted heads. That's one service in one little church out of...

    Anyone used one of these?

I have a wooden manual of these. Don't know how good it would be to your wrist if the blade jams ..

    Nice little car boot find

I have one of these with a nice hole in the middle of the blades. One of my boys cut a cable without checking if it was live...

    Door catching floor

Planer with a good blade won't chip it. Use masking tape where you're planing so to minimise chipping further. Before you refit, seal the bottom with varnish, possibly oil based.

    Weighing in copper

Here in London they pay for clean copper when there are soldered joints.

You believe only things that suit your narrative from MSM. You either believe all of their "news" or not.

    New wooden door swelling...

I built many garden gates in my life always in summer and sealed them properly. 12 mm gap on sides and top, 25mm bottom. In winter the gap on the lock side is reduced to 5mm. Keep that in mind.

    Happy Easter everyone

Well done to the Muslims. Start distributing the medals. Then one day you'll be good enough to explain how anyone could count church attendees number. I've never seen anyone counting heads in any church in the world.
