    Socket smells when in use

Thanks. Out of interest what is the difference between the 1 gang to 2 gang converter and a 1 gang to 3 gang converter if only 2 plugs are being plugged in. Just want to understand why there is a problem and how going from a 1 to 3, to a 1 to 2, will help/make a difference? I will do the test...

I just turned the mains switch off in the fuseboard to take the face plate off. Anyway these are the two for the sockets in the house. Does that help?

Judging from this photo i assume at one point there was only the one plug socket there as there is only one set of black and red wires going to it.

Yeah we just got back from holiday so lots of washing so whilst one lot is drying another lot is being washed. What do I do about the size difference between the 2 gang and 3 gang one? Am i correct in assuming the 2 gang would be smaller in length? So we shouldnt be using both together? Thanks

    Socket smells when in use

Hi No extensions are used. Just fixed wall plug sockets with just the tumble and washing machine plugged directly into it (in the wall). If washing machine or tumble are used on their own no smell and no heat from the socket on the wall, if both used then heat from socket on wall and smell...

Hi all In our utility room we have a 3 gang way plug socket on the wall behind our tumble dryer and washing machine and if we use them both at the same time the plug socket where the fuse section is gets very hot and starts to smell....a bit like fish. The smell is very strong. However if we...

I do have a 0.1bar being delivered today but wasnt sure if I should swap them over or not. I have also ordered a 1.5bar twin negative head Stuart Turner...

New shower will only work with shower head on floor

Where else can it go then? Cant go on the floor as there is no physical space for it and have been advised by you guys that it is not suitable in the loft. Or will the negative head be ok in the loft at 1m distance from CWT? Noise issues when in use? Or all the time? Thanks

Ordered the Stuart Turner Monsoon negative head twin pump and getting it installed on the shelf in the airing cupboard. Hopefully this resolves the issues. Thanks for your help.
