Building Regs Certification - Suspended floor insulation

I spoke to Building control again and they said that I can sort of pre-apply by emailing them an outline of the job with anticipated u-values etc. I am hoping it may be not too difficult to treat it as a single job over a few months

Building Regs Certification - Suspended floor insulation

So I started to fill out the form for the first room and they want a £180 fee... does this sound normal? The cost of the work is going to be about £300... If I carry out the work room by room how I want to it will cost £540 in council fees...

Correct and safe sealing around mains cable and other cables - mice

thanks plastic_peanut - I'd be happy with overkill at the moment :) I do wonder what would be "normal practice" as I can't imagine this is a unique situation. Of course, normal and effective may be two different things... Cheers

Correct and safe sealing around mains cable and other cables - mice

Hi there This is my first post - I have recently bought my first house - an Edwardian terrace and we have a bit of a mice problem (+ draft problem!) so I want to seal up holes where they can get in (amongst other things like mouse mesh etc.) We have the gas and electrics coming in from the...
