Gap in eaves overhang at roof valley

It's original believe it or not. It's not just the soffits, the corbel stone on one of the walls is about twice the size as on the other wall. It somehow survived like this for 30 odd years. Unless there used to be some bodge there that has now disintegrated and disappeared. I searched for...

Gap in eaves overhang at roof valley

I've already made a post that is related to this, so I hope it's okay to post this, as it's kind of a separate issue that got buried in my first post. As you can see from the photos, at the end of the roof valley there is a v shaped gap in the overhang, which has led to quite a lot of water...

Disintegrating mess behind fascia, what can I do?

The problem is the valley isn't accurately centred in the actual corner of where the two roofs meet. It's offset by a few inches which means it ends up with this v shaped gap No not quite. The valley actually is right in the corner. The problem is the depth of the eaves on one roof is...

Disintegrating mess behind fascia, what can I do?

All of the sarking is this chipboard stuff. Maybe it is some special kind of chipboard. The extra bit of chipboard there is padding because that particular rafter seems to be lower than the others... it's a bodge job. The last row of tiles does seem to be at a shallower angle for some reason...

Disintegrating mess behind fascia, what can I do?

Took the fascia off for something unrelated and found this mess of disintegrating chipboard. What do I even do about it? I've pulled a lot of chipboard out from under the valley, and cut off a piece of rotting wood. I think a lot of water must have been dripping down there...

Need to bring the door threshold to be level with rest of floor

I cut out a section of the chipboard flooring to see why it was moving so much when weight was applied, and I found it was never properly supported. The floor is a floating chipboard floor on top of 50mm polystyrene, but where we get to the door threshold the polystyrene stops and we see the...

Water seal depth on shower waste

It's on the same run as a bidet that never gets used. There's a bath and a sink on a perpendicular wall. I guess they go into the stack separately. Perhaps I should investigate the connection that end and see if it could be lower. The easiest option would have been to simply increase the...

Water seal depth on shower waste

Interesting. I don't think I've seen any traps with more than a 50mm water seal, nearly all are 50mm. Perhaps this regulation is not adhered to very rigidly? I have just found this guide that says shower and bath is 50mm all others 75mm...

Water seal depth on shower waste

Hello, my understanding is that the water seal depth is supposed to be at least 50mm. I was about to use this mcalpine trap, but it only has a water seal of 25mm https://mcalpineplumbing.com/traps/shower-traps-accessories/st90cp10-53c-90mm-shallow-shower-trap-53mm-high The reason I was going...
