I think your comments were aimed at Joytim. If you take the heads off TRV's they don't wotk and the system needs balancing.

If its a sealed system it will have an expansion vessel.

Softus,That sounds a little harsh Mate, i'm new here but it sounds like the guy is at least on the ball! Take the heads off the stats, if all the rooms get warm and the boiler comes on goes off and then comes on again, etc, and maintains a reasonably constant temperature, you just have crap...

are you sure they are not Hep2o plastic pipes, which are grey in colour?
