    Hi, None of the downstairs have TRV's so the the heating on full will just heat up until the living room gets to the temp set on the thermostat? Thats the issue as I the rooms with TRV's never get warm as the livingroom gets to temp first and turns the heating off. Cheers!

    Just not sure about the raw edge of the skirting above the hart, it will be open ended wood. If I filled the plaster gap with render, cement mix with water proof and a light skim or straight to skim, 2mm from floor then silicone, would tht be ok?

    If you imagine the skirting in say pic 1 where you see the socket, is 6" high, my plan is it stops at the start of the chimney, square edge etc. If it came around the chimney, where it meets the white hearth, it wouldnt have a neat edge etc.
