Simple question here? How does water get passed slates when they are showing no wear or cracks? My only feeling is water gets passed between the slates laid on each other? If that's so why amI told not to seal the edges of the slates, because in my mind wouldn't that stop the leak? Next question...

have a slate roof thats letting in water..cant see any broken slates so take it water coming in past the tiles...can I spray a coating of some sort on inside of tiles that will set and make tiles water tight?..Ihave tried sealing around sometiles on exterior of tilesbut water still...

cannot push white key in to allow water top up! can u i out some grease on it? thanx for any replies..urgent! pic shows it in but engineer pulled it out last time he called, he had a job pulling it out!!! now i need to add water but key wont go fully in and dont want to break anything?
