I've just moved into an unfinished house. Amongst other things I've noticed some of the window and door recesses are not straight (see photo). The top is not quite as bad as the bottom, so it's curved on the way down. It's about 300mm out at the bottom. Is this normal and is it solvable?

I have a floating subfloor. So chipboard ontop of extratherm insulation board ontop of concrete. The chipboard is creaking at the joints and I'm trying to figure out how to stop it. I've tried coating the floor with watered down pva but that didn't help. If I could screw into the extratherm...
