    I've cut some threads off of the track rod end cos couldnt get nut on .. will it pass MOT like this ? Pic included

    I couldnt get the nut back onto the track rod end cos I damaged the top of it when using a hammer to hit it outta the hub.. so I used a hacksaw and cut off a few threads that was damaged and was able to get the nut to go back on . It doesn't look great but still.. its securing the track rod...

    Is it okay to start engine if the power steering pipe is removed .. wont be rouching the steering wheel or driving it

    I had to remove the metal power steering pipe from my car as it was leaking badly and I am waiting to get a replacement.. meanwhile I have other jobs to do on car such as find a fuel leak so is it okay if I start the engine of my car without touching the steering wheel and without driving it...
