    WB Highflow 400 diverter valve

Thanks for the info - I suppose one thing I was wondering is whether an independent rgi would do a DV for less than £250 inc parts? If so, I will give them a go instead of WB. Thought I'd get an idea here before ringing around......

    WB Highflow 400 diverter valve

My WB boiler (above) keeps tripping out the thermal cut out, seems to be lacking the hot water pressure it used to and is now intermittently losing the hot water momentarily. Most of this is when the heating is on. Having looked through this and other forums, it seems the diverter valve may be...

    Shower Identification Help

Shower still dripping dispite new seals, and only just got around to looking at it again! (can isolate fairly easily, so been doing that!). Now I've also found a correct section view of the shower unit, I can see which o-ring is tha main seal - I've looked at the seat where this o-ring seals...

    Shower Identification Help

Brilliant! So at about £130 for a cartridge, is it worth replacing totally? The 'leak' is that it drips really badly when turned off. I've checked the main o-rings on the cartridge and they look basically OK (although I haven't replaced them). For a dripping unit, is it likely to be the...

    Shower Identification Help

Nice one - looks like that could be it. Uploaded another image showing the coverplate. I'll google some more info on that model and see if I can confirm your excellent response!

    Shower Identification Help

Here's one to test your knowledge! I have a leaking thermostatic shower which, if I knew what make it was, I could look at getting a new cartridge for. However, there are no markings on it at all indicating the make, let alone the model. Does anyone recognise what it might be from these...

    Phone wiring confusion

Thanks guys - Just wired the main wire into pin 2 and 5 and moved the scotch blocks to connect these to the additional box. All working and this is the broadband connection I'm typing on now!

    Phone wiring confusion

Thanks guys - the 'Junction box' term was used in the loosest sense for this! What it really is is a box containing a couple of scotchblock type connectors which I can't see how to get apart to add additional cables to. Therefore, if I am understanding correctly, to wire the additional socket...

    Phone wiring confusion

I have just found an additional phone socket in our new house, which upon testing was found not to work! I have looked briefly at the wiring, and can't make out what has been done - hence posting this question! I shall try to explain what I have found. There appears to be a main incoming...

    Additional/moving aerial socket

Not quite sure what the benefit of a normal coax splitter would be? Surely this would still mean three cable terminations and plugs - if I'm doing that, then there is no extra work on terminating them with the better designed F-type is there?

    Additional/moving aerial socket

Thanks - That sounds like the right way to go.

    Additional/moving aerial socket

Thanks for that - seems a pity. Have been reading a bit more, what about the use of a splitter like this: http://www.labgear.co.uk/products.php?action=showprod&cid=8&cname=Network%20Taps%20and%20Splitters&plid=27&sc1name=UHF%20Taps&sc2name=&pid=120&pname=FHU082 or...
