    What kind of air conditioning?

My problem is that the room is partially below ground level (1 metre) and the only available space because of window and furniture restrictions means that any unit would have to be wall mounted at above head height. This would mean that any outside box would be at shoulder/head height on the...

    What kind of air conditioning?

This may seem a daft question but I have no knowledge of air conditioners - do they always have to have a big unit on the outside wall? I have a room about 10 sq. m. where I need aircon. It has an outside wall but backs onto a narrow path and an outside unit would obstruct it. If there is any...

Grout sealant / protector for my kitchen floor

Many thanks for your advice Warehouseman, I think I may order the Sealguard on the internet as I've rung around and the others don't seem to seem to be available locally except for Topps grout protector. Can you tell me why you don't intend to try that?? Has it got a bad reputation or something?

As I only bought them last week they have sold me out of date material! :roll...

floor tile adhesive not sticking to back of tile

Why?? I am using ceramic tiles on a cement floor - I know I should use porcelain tile adhesive for them when I come to cover the quarry tiles. The adhesive is bonding well to the cement (2 hours today to chisel up 2 tiles worth) but not to the back of the ceramic tiles.

floor tile adhesive not sticking to back of tile

I have just done 15sq. metres of ceramic floor tiles and while cleaning them ready for grouting found a couple not stuck down properly. On removing them I found almost no adhesive on the back of the tile. I am using all Wickes products - ceramic floor tiles, powdered adhesive for ceramic floor...

Preparation for tiling over existing quarry tiled floor.

Hi, thanks for the link. Why adhesive for porcelain tiles when I am using ceramic?? I have already bought bags of Wickes adhesive for ceramic floor tiles. Is it because of the quarry tiles? :? :? Should I change it?? By the way, for anyone reading this who needs to remove sealer...
