Positive or Negative shower pump.. whats the difference..

They are on the outlet side of the water section not the electronics area. If you have just installed it I don't think you should be stripping it down, if it's new. In fact you have worried me that you are looking in that section for the non return valve  Tim

Positive or Negative shower pump.. whats the difference..

Hi, Some Salamander pumps have bypass fitted which allows the water to pass from hot to cold and vice versa, this is only meant to happen to eleviate the pressure build up in the impellers when only one side is used. There should be a non return valve or in fact two sets of non return...

    Mains vented cylider dripping

Cracked it, Issue was non return valve in thermostatic shower, the cylinder is old and does not have a balanced cold inlet, so although the pressure reducing valve was working to the cylinder, When I turned on the cold the pressure was shooting up in the cylinder through the shower valve. Set...

What shower mixer is this? No markings anywhere...

I looks like either Bensham (bathstore/Crosswater) or the Knightsbridge valve (older version) I know that the Knightsbridge will replace it as that has 130mm centers, but first try taking out the thermostat leaving over night in 50/50 vinegar water the re-grease using silicone grease, and then...

cheap shower pump fitted away from hot water cyliner

They use a pressure vessel that stores a small charge of water pressure, so when an outlet is turned on you get a small boost of water then the pressure drops and it is that pressure drop that activates the pump. To answer the second part of your question I would have to know which product it...

cheap shower pump fitted away from hot water cyliner

Positive is when you have enough flow to activate a pump say 1 liter per minute and negative is when you got jack S#@t flow that can't even turn the pump on. Most pump manufacturers say that if you have 600mm of head (distance between the bottom of the cold water tank and the device (shower...

    Salamander Pump Problem(s)

It could do but only if it is bent more than a curve, really they should have no stress on them at all. The water starvation light should really only come on when there is a restriction or as it states there is a lack of supply water. If it is new and the Anti-vibration couplers are not...

RHP 140 http://www.salamander-pumps.com/rhp140-twin-whole-house-pump.html is a positive head pump, so if you have not had any new items installed on your system it will be either sticking flow switches which are located in the outlet side of the pump, remove outlet hose there will be a plastic...
