    if the connections need to be looked at consider using a proper cable stripper (screwfix, or maplins), then take it back and say it won't work on; (pick some type of other cable and do it on a saturday so you speak to the kid who knows nothing and cares even less - they do have a use after all!)...

    Hi All, I have a Beko AP930 Fridge Freezer that has today started flashing fault code E4 on the LCD display of the freezer. Under the top plastic cover, it states that this is a defrost heater fault. I have no idea what this means or how to fix it - any ideas? Thanks, Paul

    Thanks Sparkyspike for your helpful comments. 30A sounds okay given the rating of a 25A supply. (The route from the distribution board to the attic is via the wall cavity - single storey house - thats the way they route all cables here. Not to UK standards, thats for sure). Paul

    Yes, its 240 v here just like the uk. From my basic understanding of electrics, i agree that 6mm would be better. Not sure what the voltage drop is likely to be, but 40m is a long run. Will have also to check what size of mcb they are suggesting to fit. Thanks for post. Paul
