    laminate floor on move

    If the laminate has been down for at least 6 weeks it should have climatised. In your expansion gap squirt a blob of gripfill or no nails every 1.5m along each edge. Make sure its only a blod so if the floor expands it still can.

    The cheapest and easiest solution would be to put beading aorund the bottom of the skirting fixing with pins or gripfill. Instead you could replace the skirting but a lot moer work is involved.

    If the angle is only a few degrees out just cut at 90o anyway. you will only have a gap of 1-2mm which can be filled, saves a lot of time :wink:

    You can use acid to clean old tiles but cant remeber which one, hydrochlric maybe :roll: Try calling a builders yard for brisk acid. Be carfull though using acids because some will disolve the tiles and youself, wear gloves goggles etc. Hope this helps :wink:

    What is on the floor boards? paint, varnish etc How big are the gaps? Make sure you punch all nails 3-4 mm before sanding :wink:

    Laminate flooring should be laid the length of the room. Sometimes the light source (windows, patio doors) to the room is on the width, therefore the flooring should be laid this way because when the light shines through windows, patio doors it will highlight more joints.
