    Chimney lining insulation

    I'm planning to use vermiculite to insulate a new steel liner going into an old chimney. I've been told to mix the vermiculite with cement/lime at 6:1 to bind it. Does this not make it difficult or even impossible to remove the liner if it ever needs replacing in the future?

    Thanks. This looks like good stuff, I'll give it a try. Do you know if there is such thing as an enamel paint to touch up after sanding the filler?

    I have an old toilet pan (50years+ old) which has a 1" chip out of the corner of the base. How best can I repair this? Is there a filler/enamel repair product? It doesn't need to look immaculate, just presentable! Many thanks in advance

    Seized tap covers

    I have a nice old pair of brass taps but the covers are seized solid. Corrosion around the thread is presumably the culprit. I've tried easing spray and gentle persuasion in a wood vice to no avail. The covers are smooth round, i.e. no flats to grab hold of with a wrench. Any hot tips out...
