    Silavent Centrifugal Extractor Fan

Bumping this as I replaced this unit back in September, but I recently have tried to adjust the overrun timer (as per the manufacturers instructions) to reduce the time but now the overrun does not stop when the light has switched off. I have to switch off the lights at the MCB to stop it. To be...

    Silavent Centrifugal Extractor Fan

The ducting is some sort of galvanised steel flat channel duct. I'm assuming it's because it's in flat and the void is so /narrow. I'm wondering if I can get some sort of adaptor from flat to a round 100mm duct to give me more options extractor-wise

    Sockets/FCU from a spurred socket

Due to access and location. It it possible to replace a spurred socket with an unswitched FCU, then run a socket, a switched FCU (to supply a cooker hood) and another two sockets in parallel. Kitchen ring is on a 32amp MCB, 2.5mm (and currently has 6 double sockets (including the one that's...

    Using Old Water Heater Supply

Thanks EFL. Yes there is a loft above. The lighting circuit is in steel conduit so a bit more work involved to take a feed from. The water heater FCU is almost in the perfect position for a switch and to run a feed from to the lights.

    Using Old Water Heater Supply

I am hoping to install two of the below ceiling lamps as additional lighting in my bedroom (as an alternative to bedside lamps). I am installing them next to where the old water heater was situated. The FCU that supplied the water heater is still in place and I was wondering if it would be...

Hi Guys Just looking for a bit of advice on moving a socket. In my hallway there was a 2m x 1m recess in which I have built a partition wall across to create a walk in cupboard. At the back of the recess is a double socket which I would like to move on to the front of the new partition wall...

Thanks again. Problem is when the council re-wired the house they removed one of the batten holders, plastered the hole. Leaving one fitting which is at one end of the bathroom so it doesn't give out a good proportion of light!
