hello,i am wanting to drain my central heating system so i can add a towel warmer,there is a pipe coming from the attic into the boiler and on the pipe is a drain off tap do i just go in the attic and stop the supply to this pipe and then open the drain off tap,is it that simple,cheers.

how good are these freezing kits for pipes,and can you solder anywhere near the freeze,i want too try it on microbore 10mm,any advice

hello everyone,just like too know when draining a microbore cental heating system,do you just tie up ballcock undo drainer tap empty system water,put new towel rail on and then refill the system by tightening the drain off tap,undoing the ballcock too refill the system,then bleed the rads too...

i want to lift it about a foot of the floor,if i have to drain the system can you advise how to and how to re-fill.thanks again.

cheers for repy,the system is a tank fed from attic,i just want to take a old rad of and replace it with a towel rad,the rad valves will have to come off,so i just need to know how to drain off the water supply to the rad.thanks again

hi there,i'm wanting to take off an old rad and replace it with a towel rad,the pipe work to the rad is microbore,need too know how too bleed the rad and how to refill,i will have to extend the microbore because i want to fitt the towel rad higher up the wall. thanks.
