Thanks for that Rockwool have said 100mm flexi expensive but safe BC will not visit untill the first inspection stage pre plaster due to staff cuts they will give advice but will not be specific .To give you an idea of the cuts they only have two agency Structual Engineers working two days a...

Thanks for that bc do not want to know will not visit site and are reluctant to give advice .I have submitted a full plans applicationwhich has been passed the first visit is not until the pre plaster stage which is too late if things are not in compliance they specify rockwool but will not say...

The new floor is suppoted on steels as the existing ceiling has bowed over the years Rockwool has been specified by BC they will not accept mieral wool do not want to underline as will ruin decor :wink:

I am fitting a new shower tray i my new bathroom .It will be tiled on the walls and floor .The new tray stands on plastic feet i am worried about the tray flexing then leaking down between the tray and the tiles.Would it be possible to bed this tray on morter or tile cement ? :roll:

The 22mm circulating pipes on my 30kw worchester boiler run from my garage through the loft of my bungalow for 12m down the kitchen wall for 3m then under the floor back towards the boiler for 8 m and end up just 4 m from the boiler . I am considering re plumbing these pipes and re feeding them...

I have just removed the plaster and backing of my bathroom wall it was blown .Before I put on the bonding coat should i coat the wall with PVA if so how long befoe plastering can this be done :shock:

I have a 1957 Bungalow the walls between the bedrooms and the garage are single brick which make the bedrooms cold .Can anybody suguest the best method to inprove the insulation on these walls. ie kingspan on the garage side
