the tap next to the cylinder works fine iam thinking the air lock if there is one maybe stopping the pump from firing,I drained the system then when I filled it and all was connected thats when the problem started , i do get rumblings and gurgles from the cylinder and pipes?help

hi the water tank is in the loft and the cylynder and the rest is on ground level? could it be air lock and does it sound connected right? thanks bottle

hi all just fitted new pump,filled system to one bar and the condensing boiler lit for approx 40 seconds then went off. can hear the pump working. i have a red ball shaped mini tank and a big copper cylinder. is their some thing im not doing right?

hello everyone, i am today resigned to the fact that i must purchase and fit a new central heating pump :? . now i dont know which one to buy so am asking for some advice. wickes do a silo pump.one is 5mm for £35 and a 6mm for £45 are thes any good and what does the 5mm and 6mm matter please...

what so the nut and spnidle should spin when the spindle is pulled out as far as it can/

when i pull the nut out as far as it goes it wont turn, only when i push it in bout half way does it turn. is this correct mick

hi pease help, my boiler fires up cuts out about 40 seconds. i understand this is to protect itself. im convinced the pump is stuck, i put a screw driver to it and i hear it buzzing it gets very hot, no heat in the pipes either side.the pump has an octangular plastic nut and when undone a...

ok checked the pump it seems very hot , above it the pipe is not so hot my pump has like a black disc that screws into the centre i undone as far as i could and a little water trickled from it the boiler is on 1 setting and nothing is happening with it not coming on .. :?

put it on 1 now gonna check the pump thanks pepes

it was used until mid summer just for hot water.
