    Electric Shower & Solar Panels

We currently have a power shower in the main bathroom and an electric shower in the en-suite. We also have solar panels with a plentiful supply of hot water. Would there be any issues with connecting the electric shower to a hot supply with a Thermostatic mixing valve installed on supply ? The...

    Stray voltage

Thanks for the quick reply aptsys. Okay so Capacitive coupling seems to be the problem. I am using a 4 core 1.5mm NYMJ cable of about 8 metres. 2 cores to power the valve on and two for the switch. Would it help if I replaced the switch wire with T+E ? I am feeding the switched live to a PLC...

Most efficient way to fire oil boiler

By firing the boiler when there is a demand for heat, does that not mean that cold water will be circulated through the rads (cooling them) until the boiler has brought the circulating water up to temp !

    3 showers at once?

You could use 2 showers if you connect them up via a contactor which will permit only one shower to be used at once.

Single phase supply--> 2 electric showers

I recently installed a 2nd electric shower in my in laws house. There are now two 8.5kw showers installed. The supply fuse is rated at 60amps. Both showers running together would draw ~70amps. To over come this, I installed a 40A 30ma RCD with a 40amp MCB. The output from the MCB I have...

    Continuity between all 3 conductors

I was putting some extra sockets in a kitchen extension the other day (radial circuit). With all new sockets connected, I did a continuity check (power turned off) to all sockets. I was a bit confused when I found that there was continuity between live conductor and both the ground and neutral...
