Electric Shower & Solar Panels

We currently have a power shower in the main bathroom and an electric shower in the en-suite. We also have solar panels with a plentiful supply of hot water. Would there be any issues with connecting the electric shower to a hot supply with a Thermostatic mixing valve installed on supply ? The reason being that there is normally enough water and using the electric shower is a waste of energy but it would be nice to have the option of using the electric shower if hit water supply is not hot enough.
