    Honeywell ST9420C and DT92E troubles

Final Update: This morning I attempted the binding again using my original DT92E and it worked first time. Then unbound it, tried the new DT92E (which wasn't brand new I might add) and nothing. Went back to original and worked first time again so maybe the DT92E I just bought has a duff wireless...

    Honeywell ST9420C and DT92E troubles

I did think of that until I saw the BDR91 requires mains wiring to get power, not much effort really but I'd still have to sort the cabling. My current setup is the Sundial RF Pack 2 so it never used the BDR91. Cant try the Sundial RF Pack 3 kit after all, the DT92E was sold out of the box last...

    Honeywell ST9420C and DT92E troubles

Still cant sort this. Just tried it again. Cleared binding on ST9420C to start with then, scrolled through and checked Control ands Sensors had - - - - (nothing bound, ok so far), selected Sensor Heating and pressed OK, this starting the Binding process with flashing - - - - (so far so good)...

    Honeywell ST9420C and DT92E troubles

Hi, Yes, Ive done that and received the CLR message on the DT92E. I read the original DT92E may need to be cleared as well so did the CLR on that unit too, this is the problem. I cant rebind either unit after following the manual instructions which is what's led me here. Both DT92E's were...

    Honeywell ST9420C and DT92E troubles

Hi, Yes, the model is definitely a DT92E. Cleared the factory binding? I have cleared existing by holding down the OK button on the programmer for 8 seconds until display said "RESET" as per the Honeywell instructions. Page 19 on pdf. Is that classed as the factory binding? If not, how might I...

    Honeywell ST9420C and DT92E troubles

Hi, I have had this system working fine for about 3 years with a Worcester 30CDi Classic boiler but over the past 4 or 5 months my DT92E thermostat LCD display blanks off sometimes when I go to adjust settings :/ So, I bought another DT92E received it today and am trying to pair it to the...

Changing gate valve in airing cupboard to cylinder

The job itself is easy and I did tink of reusing the existing olive and nuts but I'm usually unlucky and an easy job always tends to end up as a bigger job so trying to think ahead with potential issues. I guess I won't know until I take it all apart. I will try and get the original valve...

Changing gate valve in airing cupboard to cylinder

I was planning on changing the seized gate valve in my airing cupboard supplying cold feed to cylinder from cold water tank in loft. The pipe is old imperial 3/4" and the gate valve is also 3/4. I bought a 22mm Pegler compression valve and 3/4 brass olives for the job. Tonight though I'm...

    Hot water air lock question

Update: It turned out that by using the shower in the main bathroom and then retrying the en-suite bathroom shower got things working again (shower at least). The replacement tap head was checked again in the en-suite and although looked fine the original was reinserted to eliminate he...

    Hot water air lock question

All my taps in the house are the mixer type with lever you lift and move to the side for hot or cold. The only taps which are 'normal taps are those in the en-suite which is good if they weren't such a stupid square shape spout that is to big for a garden hose pipe to fit onto!! This is probably...

    Hot water air lock question

Sorry guys. Ive tried and the girlfriend has tried and the wall takes most of the water. The cold water pressure seems to much to hold back with the palm of your hand even if you attempt to open/close the tap slowly. I/we must be doing this wrong I reckon. :(

    Hot water air lock question

Just had another attempt at your suggestion Andy. I had to move my hand away after about5 secs unless I want to soak the bathroom tiles and myself with the spray! I'm contemplating Burnerman's idea. I've seen the hose method posted on the web s fair bit. I assume its perfectly safe to do it...

    Hot water air lock question

Hi. The bath tap is one of those lift handle up and to the side mixer types. I can't select hot and cold seperately if that makes sense.

    Hot water air lock question

Today I changed over a bathroom sink tap head in my en-suite but what I considered a simple task now has cause a bit of grief. I switched off the boiler (worcester 30CDi system) and closed the mains water stop cock under the sink. I opened the taps to drain the water in the hot water cylinder...

    Radiator tails

Thanks for your replies. Currently the only drain off valve I have is on one of the rad's in the lounge. This rad is fed from a drop from the back bedroom. I was considering sticking them on all rads like my parents (her CH was quite a new install throughout) but if you guys think I'm wasting...
