    the blue flashing is the strobe. this normally indicates that there has been an alarm activation, after a set time normally between 10 and 20 mins the outside sounder will stop but the strobe will continue to flash until the system has been reset.

    the extension would be the cheaper way of doing it. if you want permanent power in there use 3core armoured and the propper glands and cleats.

    even tho engineer reset should not be on if the system is owned by the client. sometimes it is, ive been to atleast a dozen or so systems that have engineer reset enabled when the customer owns the system.
