I thought that on this particular system that this valve acted as a TRV anyway? By opening it fully or closing it down halfway did in itself act as a TRV, by fitting another valve (TRV) you would be doing exactly the same wouldn`t you :?:

The whole point of a secondary return usually is because in Hospitals, large homes etc they want it on demand, because no combi has been built big enough it inevitably has to be stored Hot water, because of the distance between the nearest sink/ hand basin and the furthest, ( could be miles) a...
