Yes it is permanent. Its on the drivers door. It will unlock with the key but not the remote.

Beware. 1.8 frelanders have head gasket issues. I had to relpace it twice in the space of 1 year. Im told its a design fault by landrover. Its pricey to get replaced.

The door lock on my 1998 mondeo keeps jamming. All the other doors unlock with the central locking system execpt this one. I can unlock it with the key. Any ideas on how to fix it?
