since we had a new toilet bowl and cistern plumbed in our downstairs loo by a reputable plumber; there is a methane like smell in the toilet. There are no leaks and there is always water in the pan...we do not have any pets either !! The toilet flushes properly and there are no noises either...

all thermostats on high .... the boiler does not fire so no hot pipes anywhere !!

the pilot is lit; but the boiler won't fire and there is no hot water or central heating despite both thermostat being on max; the boiler switch is on the max...... the only thing i had done was to reduce the water temp thermostat on the hot water tank couple of days ago. any ideas ? thank you
