Ruled out combustion chamber seal and motorised heating valve. What is next on the list of likely culprits Please don't give up :-)

Sorry for the confusion. That valve and its motorised part both seem to be working. What I was trying to say is that if I try and turn the wheel on my own ie it has not received that 'order' from the boiler, it automatically self-rights itself.

With the motorised valve in place when I move the red wheel slightly, the motor takes over and puts the valve back into the closed position. Is that good or bad?? Should it do that?? When I take the motorised box off I can, with an adjustable spanner, manually turn the valve to open or...

No. It sits on top of an in line valve (sorry for the poor terminology) There is a valve with 3 pipes going into it and a black rotating handle, but one of these goes into my hot water tank. Is this what you mean or am I looking for a valve with 3 pipes in the boiler housing??

Heating valve.....could that be listed as the gas valve or is that something totally different? What should I be looking for??

Had the combustion chamber open and the heat seal is nice any spongy and shows no sign of deterioration. Any other ideas what it can be. Its cold in here and don't have the money at the moment for repairs... Thanks in advance
