    we had a wall with old plaster on. We have recently had the wall skimmed and in places it reacted and looked like it had sand stuck to the wall! Sanded this off and painted and it blistered and peeled off! HELP please.

    Hi If you have test tightened all the screws and not found one lose then: remove the busbar, loosen the screws some more and then refit the busbar. It is possible that the screws are tight but the clamp in the RCD/ctt breakers have missed the busbar. The sound you are hearing is arcing...

    No. You may however have a very good chance of damaging yourself. Qualified electricans are not ment to pull this fuse although many do. The Elec Supply company should re-fit the fuse and will re-wire it. That is if they are happy with your work. Gus

    Yes I Know about cable size and RCDs or RCBO with showers but I cannot fot the life of me find a reference in the regs. I know it is a high risk cct but my calculation still had a disconnect time of 0.1s with a ccb so why and where is the reference to fit rcd? Gus
