Does anyone know it is possible to improve the flow rate on a ECOtec824. Can I possibly loose some top end temperature in gain for higher flow rate? Is there some kind of flow restrictor in the cold water supply, if so could I remove this and refit a higher flow rate restrictor on the incoming...

Ah nice, is the flow restricter on the cold inlet of the dhw heat exchanger then? Id best get a new filter as well, if I can.

Checked the filter on the water side of the diverter valve earlier. What I found was the remains of a filter! All the gauze has gone and the filter is completly useless! I presume the pieces of filter have got drawn into the dhw h'exchanger. further strip down required!!!!!

Not a chance I would tell them to replace it, got plenty of life left in it yet. You can get a whole new D valve for £100, new boiler would cost them ten times as much and some!!!!. I would like to fit them a new boiler as work is work.

Not yet, where are they situated? My plan was too turn the mains water of and check the cold supply through. Anothe colleuge of mine said that there could be a restricter on the inlet to the dhw plate h'exchanger.

Fitting a bathroom at the moment, but was concerned at the poor hot water flow rate. I measured the flow rate and it is only 5l/min. After sifting through the Vaillant manual I tried to adjust the water section of the divertor valve but was allready in the full flow rate position. I've searced...
