Many thanks for assistance. Replaced blending valve and we're away. It seems the old valve was a TMV 2 limited to 48 degrees so was not getting warm enough anyway apart from it being full of crap!

Thanks for the enlightenment. Electrics operate ok. stats call for heat, they open two port and pump starts to operate. So I guess this only leaves the blending valve as the culprit.

Thanks for the quick response guys. I will check continuity when lockout occurs. I assume my standard multi meter will do this ok. I am letting this one wind me up a bit!! You always get one now and again.

Hi Guys Anyone know where I can get spares for this oil burner. Specifically electrodes, leads and transormer. A manual would be good too but I guess i'm pushing my luck after all the burner is 40 years old I think. Cheers :(
