I will make sure he uses screws. I know you have all said he is doing it cheap but its more the disruption of moving all of my furniture out onto the patio and hoping it doesn't rain. There is another thing I have noticed as well, I had a double socket on the wall and an electrician fitted...

    New Plastered Ceiling Blistered

Plasterer has been, the paint/plaster has pulled the artex off the ceiling and is loose. He says the only solution is to board it and skim it again. He wants to charge me for materials (approx £80) plus £40 labour. He said its not his fault and its the guy who originally did the artex??

    New Plastered Ceiling Blistered

Yes they are bubbles, you can press them in and feel the gap between them and the ceiling. I have called the plasterer, he is coming over tomorrow night to have a look. I just want to be prepared in case he fobs me off. I dont think the plaster has come loose, I think its the paint. It did...

    plastic pipe instead of copper

The plumber has been and im not impressed, can I have your views? He said that he cant fully put the plastic pipe in the wall as there is no way to fix it to the brick and it keeps popping out. Therefore he said the skirting boards would have to be notched out and pipe visable up the wall, not...

I have a bow window in my lounge and the pvc sill is all marked and stained. I would love to have it replaced with a quartz or granite but would prob cost the earth. My question is, is there anything on the market like thin quartz for cladding or quartz effect that would be suitable?
