I have a bow window in my lounge and the pvc sill is all marked and stained. I would love to have it replaced with a quartz or granite but would prob cost the earth. My question is, is there anything on the market like thin quartz for cladding or quartz effect that would be suitable?

Look at kitchen work tops. There are some 25mm solid materials that will look like anything you want it to look. You just need a template.
