115mm diamond angle grinder blade recommendations

Thanks for the reply. I ended up getting a Marcrist CK650 from Screwfix. It still chipped the porcelain slightly but the cuts will be siliconed anyway.

Installing chrome tile trim with quick drying adhesive

Hi, I am tiling around my bath. Just noticed that the tile place gave me rapid set adhesive (powdered, as tiles are 60 x 30cm). Question is, I am going to have to tile the top row on all 3 sides before I can add the tile trim (to make sure the miters are nice and tight). Being rapid...

Hi I am replacing a conventional radiator in a bathroom with a chrome towel radiator. The previous radiator DID have an earthing strap connected. I have been told (not by an electrician) that earth bonding on rads is not required if your CU is RCD protected. Our CU does have an rcd switch...

    Grating noise from washing machine

Thanks for the reply. I don't think it is the drum causing the noise. If I spin the drum it's quiet and smooth. The noise is coming from the bottom right where the filter is. I think it's the re-circulation pump that may have some grit stuck in there causing this noise.

    Garage door locking

Thanks for the reply John Unfortunately only one door, no separate entrance. I do also intend to get either side garage bolts or a "garage defender" but would like to sort the current lock out in the interim. So, is it best to buy longer rods or just extend the plate which the locks...

    Efflorescence

Hi Over the last few months our 12 year old house has just developed efflorescence in the porch (left hand wall and underneath the door). Is this presence of water / moisture in the brickwork? I'm Hoping that this is due to the longish periods of snow we've over the last few months and not...
