    Ford Focus 02 1.6 Ghia Auto Selector Knob Sticking

    I have a 02 Ford Focus auto. The Knob on top of the selector lever has started 'sticking' When I park I cannot get the key out of the ignition switch unless I pull the knob out with grips.     Thanks one and all, sufficient for me to say the lump of cast Iron has lasted for 30 years with no problem, friends nice shinny Potterton 's heat exchanger went after 5 years and it was fully serviced and treated. End of topic now. Regards Ray

    Is that just the area exposed or all the painted area, I am assuming that I would be better off using textured masonary paint, thinking of using Wikes Mastercoat, someone else said the put stabilizing solution in with paint as well!!
