    I am not sure what part I would do the test on, I haven't done one before on a shower. I have heard that an electric shower that lasts 5 years or so is good and you are better off replacing them when they go?? I think mine's easily 5 years old, maybe longer...

    An AAV may be required here, I have heard of this problem before with maxerators. If the waste runs steep from the unit and at a lower level, then trap seal is lost through self siphonage

    I have a Triton - Ivory electric shower (is oldish) For some reason the water is very lukewarm now, if hot at all. Was wondering the reason and if it can be repaired or a new shower unit would be required?
