Hi Exadon, thanks for the reply. In hindsight I wish I'd took some when I'd broken it down but at the time I didnt realise that the half round groove was there to accept a same shape O-ring style doughnut, I believe they are Ideal Standard/Armitage Shanks make. My loo as no identification names...

To cover dry mix or not?

Hi just had my first attempt at laying paving stones (only ten) on a bed of sub base and 5:1 dry mix. Should I cover them up or leave open to the elements? Frost is forecast for tomorrow morning. Thanks in advance.

    Laying a path - haven't a clue! Advice please.

Hi, the wife wants a small path next to a flower bed she's doing. I've done most diy stuff around the house but never layed a path so I thought I'd give it a go. I've seen the Wickes video etc on You Tube but I have no idea how much sharp sand, cement, or sub base material to order. Path...

Hi awaiting quotes from local installers in north Manchester (not exactly queuing at my front door) to fit a new combi system into my house and have been lucky enough to meet someone from Bosch who can get the WB 28i Junior at staff discount. Halstead Best 40 will not ignite - damaged inition pcb.

Thanks Dan - to be honest I didn't read the small print but have now.I wouldn't have thought swapping out a pcb etc would not be allowed and so I think its best if I get my local Gas safe/Corgi heating engineer in to advise and fit/commission it etc and I will stick to the zone valves...
