Ok, thanks for the advice. A friend suggested mixing cement and kiln dried sand - do you think that would work?

    Tile gap 2.5cm

We've removed a work top and where the base was , there is now a 2.5 cm gap between the floor tiles. Can I just put grout between the tiles? (I know it won't look great but tbh we're looking for the easiest solution rather than making it perfect.)

    Straightening a concrete post

Hi, In our back garden we have a corner concrete post that supports 2 fences. The post is now a few degrees off straight. How can I make it straight again? Do I need to take it out and start from scratch or is there anything I can bolt on to it to make keep it straight? Thanks, David

What to do instead of double glazing?

Thanks for your replies. They do have more than 1 property they are freeholders of and possibly many more, so we could (theoretically) just go ahead and do it I suppose. Will also check out dextrous's idea as well.

Hi We have an approx 6cm hairline crack on the bottom of our bath. We can't get under the bath, so is there any way we can put something over the crack to stop water seeping out? Thanks!

What to do instead of double glazing?

Hi Our freeholder wants GBP700 just to give us permission to put in double glazing  As we won't be able to afford this extra amount, what would be the best way to keep more heat in/let less cold in through the windows? Thanks!
