i dont think you can have an outside socket in a bathroom even though its waterproof. Why dont u link the recess lights in with your ceiling rose or whateva u got (access a problem?) or to much loading? more info please

make sure lee that you add the second layer of insulation over the joists as you do lose heat through joists. Also lay this across the joists (obviously) herbert

noseall that actually helps, i just had know clue watsever what it does i just thought it was the same as a normal dpc but just insulated so that cleas it up a bit. so how does that work as a cavity closer mate? cheers

just generally, where would you use them, do they act as cavity closers? i thought that they would just be 150 mm above ground where you would use a normal dpc, i thought and was wondering what conditions would mean you would have to use it etc. extreme conditions or something im not too sure...
