    Hi Thanks for your reply and help. I have the allen key/hole type vales, so the ball type I believe?? What should I do then, if they leak on re-opening? Just drain down and replace? But what about if they don't shut off... is there a way I can check before getting soaked and undoing...

    as far as i know, combi boilers are generally slowish to heat the water up, unless you have one of the hi tech modern types that store a small amount for faster delivery. it's just the way they work. if you get too much flow from the hot tap anyway, really really fast, this will also reduce...
