Don't know what Zinsser 123 is......another type of sealant/primer? So, some sort of rust eater, then a zinsser sealant then paint? Do I have to clean the old streaks off first or can I just paint over them do you think?? ?getting more complicated.......... :roll:

thanks for reply..... No......in other places it is nowhere near where any wall ties or nails would be. Closer inspection of some small areas where it is beginning shows that it appears to be some type of impurity that is coming out of the render. I'm looking to seal the spots and paint...

The guy from Lunns said that with mine you can just buy the diaphragm (seal) separately so you may be able to do that. Give them a ring and see if they can get them. Alternatively, as a short term fix, he suggested removing the seal/diaphragm, turning it upside down and refitting it...

Yes, it has a grey seal. Have ordered the Roca one mentioned above from Lunns now that i know that Roca, not Gala, was what i should have been looking for. Thanks for your help Seco.

Just sorted it thanks to all the help here: Apparently I need a Roca70120 - Roca D1D Dual Flush Valve pre 2006 which will just fit into the bayonet fitted basket. Gala are part of Roca. Lunns can supply so getting it from there. Need to replace the lot as both the seal and the top hinge...

From what I can see, if I get a new flush mechanism, I can do that from inside the cistern, so no need to remove it (I think).

Yep that's the suite. However it is a dual flush, with two push buttons. The two push flush buttons come out, and there is a plastic philips head type screw which screws into the top of the flush mechanism, and then the top lifts off. As to changing the loo that's what I was asking - can i get...

Thanks, had already had a look through Lunns and no Gala spares shown. Similarly, Pochins don't seem to stock them either. Guess I'm looking at replacing the lot. Would any other spares fit or are they all unique to the cistern shapes and sizes, likewise the seals?
